ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 21, 2019 – Over 40 Members of the Central Panhandle Association of Realtors, located in Panama City, FL, attended the 103rd annual Florida Realtors® Convention & Trade Expo held Aug. 21-22, 2019, at Rosen Shingle Creek resort in Orlando, Fla. Representatives of CPAR in attendance included The CEO Debbie Ashbrook, President Ida Hargaray, President-Elect Brian Hinton, the CPAR Board of Directors, the Women’s Council of Realtors® and the CPAR Leadership Academy.
Realtors from around the state came to the convention to discuss key issues that shape their profession and the state association. Members had a choice of more than 40 education sessions on topics like new trends in real estate, disaster recovery planning, video marketing, Florida’s evolving cannabis laws, best practices for brokers and more. Following the convention, Realtors took part in Florida Realtors’ Governance Meetings held from Aug. 23-25, 2019.
The convention featured songwriter and Grammy-nominated Top 40 singer John Ondrasik, also known as Five for Fighting, during the general session, with keynote speaker Ryan Serhant, super sales broker and Bravo TV star, wrapping up the closing session. Convention-goers also enjoyed the music of “Party on the Moon” during the Dance Party, then were entertained by the Orlando dance troupe “The Funkywunks” at the annual Awards Luncheon, which honors Realtor excellence and service. This year’s Trade Expo featured more than 225 industry experts and exhibitors showcasing the latest marketing, technology and other business tools.
