Panama City, FL – The Central Panhandle Association of Realtors® is pleased to
announce that the CPAR Young Professionals Network raised $4,000 at their 1st Beach
Bonfire & Corn Hole Tournament on October 4th of this year. All proceeds of the
tournament will benefit students at Haney Technical Center by way of scholarships.
At 11 am on Wednesday, December 11th, a check presentation ceremony will be
held at the Majestic Beach Resort. The presentation will take place during CPAR’s
Quarterly Membership Meeting & Luncheon which is open to CPAR Members and the
Press. Director Ann Leonard & Chief Community Relations Officer Alex Murphy will be
present to accept the funds on behalf of Haney.
For over 50 years, Haney has been training Bay County’s skilled workforce by
offering programs that address the current skills gap for in-demand careers, those that
require education beyond High School but less than a four-year degree. All programs at
Haney have active Occupational Advisory Committees made up of local and regional
industry partners who strive to ensure that students have the qualifications that area
businesses seek in their future employees. Graduates of Haney have an average job
placement rate of 87%.
