Panama City, FL – The Central Panhandle Association of Realtors® disaster relief fund, the CPARCares Benevolence Fund, has contributed $3,000 to Realtors affected by the recent tornadoes that struck Tennessee. Upon hearing about the storms, CPAR immediately reached out to Upper Cumberland Association of Realtors®, Greater Nashville Association of Realtors® and Eastern Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors® to offer support and encouragement. CPAR and its surrounding communities know all too well the impact of natural disasters and how much it means when someone reaches out to help.
The CPARCares Benevolence Fund, our disaster relief fund, was developed by CPAR after Hurricane Michael in 2018. CPAR Members, like so many people in our community, were deeply affected in almost every aspect of our daily lives by the storm. Without hesitation, Realtors® and Realtor® Associations across the country reached out to help. They stepped up to the plate and contributed volunteers, supplies & funds for Realtors® in our community.
Awestruck by the magnitude of support we received during our time of need, CPAR leadership set out to create a special Benevolence Committee and the CPARCares Benevolence Fund for paying it forward. The Benevolence Committee specifically raises funds for Realtors® around the country who are affected by natural disasters. They have raised thousands of dollars to date and continue to do so.
