Panama City, FL – The Governmental Affairs Committee of the Central Panhandle Association of REALTORS® will host an Informational Update to spotlight the ReHOUSE Bay housing initiative on August 24, 2020. Mark McQueen, the City Manager of Panama City will discuss this powerful, new tool for navigating all the housing assistance programs available in Bay County through the Hurricane Housing Recovery Program (HHRP) and the State Housing Incentive Partnership (SHIP).
Following Hurricane Michael, Bay County and the City of Panama City received over $36 million from the Florida Legislature to address the loss of affordable housing caused by storm damage. The ReHOUSE Bay website, www.ReHouseBay.org, is a “hub” designed to provide information to residents about programs available to homeowners, home buyers and home builders in the recovery process. Programs are available for home repair, first-time homebuyers, new construction and more.
This session will be presented as a Zoom Webinar and dually shared live on the Central Panhandle Association of REALTORS® Facebook page at 10 am on the 24th of August. The public is encouraged to register and attend to learn more about these incredible resources to help them rebuild, re-house and revitalize our community.
