Panama City Beach, FL – The Young Professionals Network at the Central Panhandle Association of REALTORS® (CPAR YPN) is joining forces with the Gulf World Marine Institute (GWMI) on July 10th to host a Beach Clean Up on Panama City Beach. CPAR YPN and GWMI will gather behind Runaway Island Beachfront Restaurant at 8 am to distribute buckets, gloves, water, and more to all who would like to contribute to the effort. All participants can weigh-in their collected items at 10 am.
Gulf World Marine Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of marine mammals and sea turtles in the Florida Panhandle. They serve as the only long-term marine mammal rehabilitation and the largest sea turtle rehabilitation facility in Northwest Florida. Over the years they have come to the aid of thousands of marine mammals in our area. They will have education materials on display during the event.
This event is part of the statewide Florida Realtors® “Clean Up Florida Waters” initiative which called to action thousands of Florida Realtors to do their part in preserving our state’s waterways, arguably one of our greatest assets. Across the state of Florida, Florida Realtors® will host clean-up events from July 1st through 31st. The statewide push encourages Realtors and residents to join forces to pick up trash and clean the state’s lakes, rivers, streams, retention ponds, bays, Intracoastal Waterway, Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean during the event. This CPAR YPN Beach Clean Up event is our local contribution.
All are welcome to join us and clean up Florida waters! Participants can keep up with their progress using the Clean Swell app, which can track clean-up history, time spent, distance covered and pounds of trash removed.
