The Young Professionals Network at the Central Panhandle Association of REALTORS® (CPAR YPN) is excited to announce their upcoming annual Beach Clean Up scheduled for July 8th on Panama City Beach. CPAR YPN will join forces with the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Central Panhandle, Keep PCB Beautiful, and Gulf World Marine Institute to preserve the beauty of our coastline by picking up trash and debris from the beach.
Volunteers are invited to join the efforts and make a positive impact on our environment. Clean-up activities will kick off at M.B. Miller County Pier at 8 am. Buckets, gloves, water, and more will be provided to all volunteers who wish to join in. The clean-up will conclude with a weigh-in of collected items at 10 am. Participants can keep up with their progress using the Clean Swell app, which can track clean-up history, time spent, distance covered, and pounds of trash removed.
This event is part of the statewide Florida Realtors® “Clean Up Florida Waters” initiative which calls upon thousands of Florida Realtors to do their part in preserving our state’s waterways. arguably one of our greatest assets. Across the state, Florida Realtors® will host clean-up events during the month of July. The statewide push encourages Realtors and residents to join forces to pick up trash and clean the state’s lakes, rivers, streams, retention ponds, bays, Intracoastal Waterway, Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean. This CPAR YPN Beach Clean Up event is our local contribution to this remarkable statewide effort.
CPAR YPN has engaged some incredible partners to make this event a success. Gulf World Marine Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of marine mammals and sea turtles in the Florida Panhandle. They serve as the only long-term marine mammal rehabilitation facility and the largest sea turtle rehabilitation facility in Northwest Florida. They will have educational materials on display during the event. The Women's Council of REALTORS® is recognized as the voice for women in real estate, and the premier source for the development of leaders in the industry, organized real estate and beyond. Keep PCB Beautiful is our local chapter of Keep America Beautiful, which works to inspire individuals and businesses to improve the community and the natural environment. Bay Home Services and Repair is the presenting event sponsor and will provide refreshments for volunteers.
CPAR YPN welcomes the entire community to join in and clean up Florida waters. Last year, they collected over 300 lbs. of trash and signed up 42 volunteers. They hope to collect even more this year and truly make a difference in preserving our state’s greatest natural asset, our waterways!
