Membership at CPAR

Membership is extended to individuals holding an active real estate or appraisal license who are actively engaged in the real estate profession, including buying, selling, exchanging, renting or leasing, managing, appraising for others for compensation, building, developing or subdividing real estate, and who maintain or are associated with an established real estate firm in the State of Florida or a state contiguous thereto. One of the principals in a real estate firm must be a Designated REALTOR® (primary or secondary) member of CPAR in order for licensees affiliated with the firm to select CPAR as their “primary” Association.

Depending on the type of business you do, Central Panhandle Association of REALTORS® offers several levels types of membership to fit your needs. Below is a list and explanation of each membership we offer. Ready to sign up? CLICK HERE

REALTOR® Member

As a real estate licensee, you are required to belong to a Board of REALTORS® if you wish to refer to yourself as a REALTOR®. REALTOR® Members shall be individuals licensed with the Florida Real Estate Commission as Active Brokers or are registered, licensed, or certified by an appropriate state of Florida regulatory agency to engage in the appraisal of real property who, as sole proprietors, partners, or corporate officers, or branch office managers are actively engaged in the real estate profession, including buying, selling, exchanging, renting, or leasing, managing, appraising for others for compensation, building, developing or subdividing real estate.

Applicants for REALTOR® membership shall be granted provisional membership immediately upon submission of a completed application form and remittance of applicable association dues and application fee. Provisional members will be considered REALTORS® and shall be granted all of the same privileges and obligations of membership. Failure to complete the orientation program including Code of Ethics within 90 days of the date of application, will result in denial of the membership application or termination of provisional membership.

Upon satisfactory completion of the orientation program and approval by the CPAR Board of Directors, membership in the Florida REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the world’s largest professional trade association is granted. The term REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark that identifies a real estate professional as a member of NAR who subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.

Secondary REALTOR® Member

Secondary members are REALTORS® who hold primary membership with another association and want to have access to the services offered by the Central Panhandle Association of REALTORS®. The only difference in fees is that a secondary member does not pay State or National Dues through CPAR, because that is already being paid through their primary association.

Power Partner/Affiliate

Any business that provides goods or services that homebuyers or members want and need are invited to become Power Partners. Membership is on an individual basis, and is required for businesses to be able to sponsor or attend events, utilize the SUPRA lockbox system, or have access to the member distribution list for CPAR. Examples of Power Partners include, but are not limited to: Advertisers, Architects, Attorneys, Bankers, Builder/Developers, Community Association, Computer Consultants, Educators, Engineers, Furniture Companies, Graphic Designers, Home Inspection Companies, Home Warranty, Hotel/Hospitality, Insurance Companies, Interior Designers, Land Use Planners, Landscapers, Media,  Mortgage Brokers, Moving Companies, Pest Control Companies, Photographers, Printing Companies, Publishers, Suppliers, Surveyors, Security, and Title Companies.

MLS Only

Central Panhandle Association of REALTORS® does provide MLS Only level of membership for REALTORS® who only want MLS access without joining the association directly.
