Teams in the CPAR MLS

 

A new mandatory program has launched at CPAR. Starting Monday, May 1, 2023 CPAR will identify Teams in our MLS. This change will require any agents operating as a team to register for a Team ID with CPAR, to be used in the MLS.

Please Note: This Team ID will not replace your B# but will instead be an additional ID that can be tied to listings.

CPAR defines a “Team” as “two or more licensed Realtors reporting production under one ID #.”

Broker Acknowledgement is required for all Team ID applications.

Current MLS Teams Users have 90 days from the launch date to submit their completed mandatory Teams ID Application.

Rules For Brokers:

  • The designated broker is solely responsible for maintaining the Team with CPAR. This includes adding/removing members.
  • Active, Coming Soon and Pending listings will only be transferred upon written request of the Designated Broker.
  • Any Unauthorized use of the Team ID is an access violation and the broker is subject to an automatic $1000 fine.

Rules For Agents:

  • Teams operating and recording production in the MLS will be required to register for a Team ID with CPAR.
  • Upon discovery that a team does not have a Team ID assigned, they will have seven business days to correct.
  • All Team members must retain membership in good standing with CPAR.
  • All Team members must be Agents with the same Designated Broker.
  • No listings that are Sold/Closed, Cancelled or Expired prior to assignment of a Team ID will be transferred to the Team ID.
  • A new set of mandatory fields pertaining to contact information will be added.
    • These fields will be private and not shared through IDX, Subscriptions or emailed/printed listings.
    • These will be required on all Team listings.
  • New Fields:
    • Point of Contact Name:
    • Point of Contact Phone Number:
    • Point of Contact Email:
  • Team IDs will be assigned by the Membership/MLS Staff.
    • This will usually be an acronym of the Team Name, beginning with the letter T.
    • There will be some instances where an acronym will not be used.

Note: these will not be processed until the launch date, May 1, 2023.
